Sunriver, Oregon

March 04, 2015

My friends Lee & Jamie flew in from New York for Lee’s 30th birthday. We rented a house in Sunriver and skied at Mt. Bachelor. Saturday we cross country skied to a snow-covered lake (only in Bend would a lake be named “Todd.”) And Sunday we skied downhill. This was Pete & my second time skiing and our second mountain. We were comfortably skiing green runs and I mostly held it together on the chair lift.

One of Pete’s main philosophies is everyone in the same car. He’ll work pretty hard to fit everyone in one vehicle, including renting a vehicle that can handle so many butts at once. For this trip we rented a Honda Pilot and Jamie drove us around all weekend like we were her brood. I loved it. Most of the time, Liz and I were squished in the way way back arm-dancing to radio jams.
